Joakim Palmqvist is the CTI manager with the product management sector at Axis. He has a history of working inthe computer networking industry. Palmqvist is leading a team that is responsible for field testing and delivering integration insights – drafting strategies, planning and setting priorities for the testing of products and solutions. One of the main fields he is in charge of involves running Smart City pilots with focus on embedded analytics. Palmqvist has worked at Axis for almost 10 years now, holding various roles/positions. Palmqvist has a professional background as a programmer/developer and project manager for embedded systems at SabbTech Systems in Kista Sweden, and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics / Computer Science from Uppsala University.

Through 11 years of adventures with the security systems industry, he gained experience both in engineering and sales. The main emphasis in his daily work is analyzing the development of the disk storage market and how to increase their reliability.
