Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) is an internationally recognized association of ICT engineers. It gathers more than 23,000 members worldwide. It was founded in 1973 in the United States and operates as a non-profit organization. More than 450 members have been involved in numerous committees and bodies for standardization in telecommunications, such as ANSI, ISO, CENELEC, TIA, EIA, as well as in other relevant organizations important for this industry. As such, the BICSI Association was recognized by the US National Standards Institute. Its core activities include education, vocational courses, and standards and publications from the ICT field.
